I was born in October of 1985 in Augusta, GA. and raised in Midville, GA until the age of six.  My love of the outdoors began in GA where my family introduced me to fishing, trapping, hunting, and agriculture.  Summertime would afford my family the opportunity to pick watermelons, squash, collard, turnips, tomatoes, peas, and okra.   When my family moved to South Florida when I was six, my passion for hunting and fishing continued to grow.

While there are many hunting shows on local and national television, there is seemingly a gap in the programming that I can fill. It is my goal to be involved in a hunting, fishing, spear fishing, outdoors program that is as dynamic as me.  Kayak, canoe, mountain bike, walking, ATV, or whatever means necessary to spot and stalk a hunt is how I approach the exploration.  On any given week I spend three – four days hunting, scouting for locations, fishing, or teaching hunting skills to the next generation.

Currently I work for Bass Pro Shops and this affords me an opportunity to enhance my knowledge of the ever-evolving industry. The opportunity to meet customers and make new friends on a daily basis is something I look forward to.  Being involved in the local Boys and Girls club and frequently lecturing about my passion for the outdoors is also satisfying.

To make extra money I manage wild hogs on a few orange groves in Florida. I have been a guide and mentor for years, and the look on new hunter’s eyes is what continues to drive me.  Success is not always measured by the size of the cutters, tusks, brow tines, or horns but measured by instilling pride in ethical hunting practices to the next generation.

One of the goals of my show is to establish a program for kids with no father figures, and the next generation that want to hunt and fish but their parents have no interest.  I can relate to this as my parents supported me with everything in my life except hunting. They do not share the same passion for hunting as I did, so I would scrimp and save for every gun, scope, bullet, bow, arrow, broad-head, climber, boot, camo, and every tank of gas to go hunt. I remember saving up my lunch money for months to buy my first gun.  When I finally saved up $300.00 because the gun I wanted was in an ad for $299.99, I went down to Bass Pro Shops all excited and my tunnel vision did not allow me to remember the $18.00 for taxes. Two weeks later, that Benelli Nova was mine.

I believe that hunting “Free Range” is the only ethical way of hunting. I am proficient with a bow, black powder rifle, center-fire rifle, hand gun, spear fishing, kayaking, hiking, glassing, and I am constantly seeking new and exciting places to explore. It is with this passion that I present this online press kit to you. It is my dream to continue to teach, grow, learn and educate daily. I hope you enjoyed my profile and call Chasin Bacon if you want to go out on your next hunting or fishing adventure.I was born in October of 1985 in Augusta, GA. and raised in Midville, GA until the age of six.
